Our Green Initiatives
a sustainable future - energy, water, composting, recycling, cleaning
Our new home at 625 Marion St is designed to help Howard Street Charter School be a more green school. We might not be able to solve climate change and environmental issues by ourselves but we can do our part to help AND save costs. Choosing certain building materials, improving lighting with LEDs, and replacing windows have all helped, Howard Street reach for its goal of a more sustainable future. Help us by you too doing your part - recycle cans and bottles via BottleDrop to help us raise funds and go green! Or maybe you want to contact the Energy Trust of Oregon to find out about incentives for your home or business to join us in a “greener” world.
掃除 - Howard Street soji (cleaning)
We are a fan of many different cultural traditions around the world. One that we have adopted for our new home is the Japanese school practice of soji (cleaning). Twice monthly, Howard Street advisories help clean areas of the school by sweeping, dusting, and glass cleaning. Everyone helps take care of our new home!
